New Jersey Nets Deficet

Wow! I don't think it's healthy for a team to be this bad. Out of 52 games played this year, the New Jersey Nets have won 4. Nobody expected the Nets to be a good team this year, especially when they trade their franchise player Vince Carter to the Orlando Magic, but nobody expected them to be this bad either. If you look at the roster, the Nets don't even have that bad of a team. They have an All Star point guard in Devin Harris, and  a promising second year center in Brook Lopez, plus a Yi Jianlian, a 7 foot forward from China also in his second year in the NBA. The Nets certainly arn't playoff material, but there definitly not as bad as they have been playing. If the don't improve their record, they are on track to set the record for the least wins in a season, which currenty stands at 9 wins and 73 losses, which is more then double the amount of wins that the Nets have right now. This year features a legendary free agent class, in which Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh, Joe Johnson, and other superstars will have expired contracts meaning that they can be signed by other teams. By trading Vince Carter and his contract, the Nets had planned to give themselves more money to sign free agents with, but no superstar is going to want to sign with a team this bad. So if the Nets don't get their record straightened out, it could hurt them for years to come.
