Review of "Lightning Theif"

Recently, I went to see the movie Lightning Theif in Hood River Cinemas. Before seeing the movie, I had read most of the books in the series. (Which are every bit as good as the Harry Potter books.) Since movies never follow books that well anyway, I wasn't expecting this one to, and although lots of the events from the book were skipped, the movie followed the book enough for me to know what I was watching. Like the book it was based on, "Lightning Theif" had a very good mix of comedy and formality. Even though there were a few very good parts of the book that I had expected to see in the movie, I still thought it was worth seeing and now I'm just waiting for the next book in the series to become a movie.
